The excursion begins heading to the north of Ushuaia, going through the valleys and the Andes Mountains. We make the first stop to visit a Siberian Alaskan Huskies sled dog kennel located approximately 20 kilometers from the city. This is the point where the trail begins.
The first section of the walk takes place within the forest and allows us to appreciate incredible views of the Tierra Mayor and Carbajal Valley. The rest of the way leads us through lenga forests, mountains, hanging glaciers, peat bogs and allows us to closely observe the flora and fauna of the place, especially the great variety of birds that fly over the area.
The path runs until reaching the magnificent Emerald Lagoon, whose name perfectly describes the hue of its waters. The lagoon is surrounded by the Albino Glacier, the Torres and the Toribio Range, and this is precisely the setting chosen to enjoy an expected lunch. After the break, the walk back begins.
