Zuccardi and Trapiche: The Best Wineries of 2020

The Zuccardi Valle de Uco winery (Mendoza) was ranked first in the prestigious ranking of The World’s Best Vineyards for the second consecutive year. In this list, which awards the 50 best vineyards in the world, other Argentine wineries also stand out, all from Mendoza: Catena Zapata, in position 11; Salentein, at 23; and Trapiche, in 50.

This Top 50 is decided based on the votes of the members of The World’s Best Vineyards Academy, which is made up of nearly 500 wine leaders, sommeliers and luxury travel correspondents around the globe. These do not qualify according to the quality of the wines, but based on wine tourism: the entire experience of visiting the winery is taken into account, from the landscape, architecture, facilities, tastings, gastronomy, etc. The objective is to promote the visit to these wineries.

On the other hand, Bodega Trapiche, one of the wineries with the longest history in Argentina, as well as the Most Awarded Argentine Winery in the World (WRW & S: World Ranking Wines & Spirits), had an unprecedented recognition in the framework of the 25th edition of the Catad'Or WineAwards Contest held annually in the city of Santiago de Chile.

Catad’Or Wine Awards is the most important international wine competition in Latin America, evaluating and rewarding the excellence of wines and spirits with rigor and professionalism. Bodega Trapiche also obtained two Great Gold Medals for its wine Iscay Malbec-Cabernet Franc 2017 and for the Terroir series Malbec Finca Orellana 2015, respectively, and 4 Gold Medals for: Trapiche Terroir series Malbec Finca Ambrosia 2015, Trapiche Terroir series Malbec Finca Coletto 2015, Iscay Syrah-Viognier 2015 and Trapiche Terroir series Cabernet Sauvignon Finca Laborde 2015.
