Casa Mocha: Wines & more

Enjoy a relaxing visit with wine tasting in Casa Mocha, one of the latest additions to the North’s wine scene.

Located in Huacalera, Jujuy, Casa Mocha is the front gate of the enotourism project of Bodegas El Bayeh, owned by the Manzur family. Here you will take part in a slow-paced tour around the vineyards, enjoy a wine tasting experience and taste some of the artisanal cheese made by La Huerta Tambo, owned by the cousins of the Manzur.

The ‘artisanal’ word keeps coming up as the main goal of the developers was to craft a completely organic wine, avoiding the use of pesticides or agrochemicals. It’s also a community-involved project, as the El Bayeh’s principal wine, Pequeños Parceleros de la Quebrada, evocates the more of 80 local farmers and workers involved in the wine’s production. This wine, unlike others, uses a particular grape strain: the uva criolla, present in the Manzur finca.
